Heads' up everyone! Daragh O Brien posted the 2nd Carnival of Data Quality over on his IQ Trainwreck blog. December posting can be slow, but even so there were some good posts worth reading.
I'm hosting the next (January) edition. January's theme: How we will Change the World with Data Quality
As Daragh's (IQ TrainWrecks) site shows, data quality truly impacts our world. Let's get down to details and talk about how we will fix it.
The key criteria is that the post have relevance to changing some aspect of changing the world at large (as impacted by data quality), changing the world of data quality, or changing the world of practitioners attempting to function within this discipline.
Example post topics:
- Where we most need to focus our efforts this year (activities or research)
- Best techniques to change/fix how we approach data quality
- Tactical and strategic approaches to get data-related projects on the right track
- Current data quality initiatives (industry-wide, a specific project, or some topic your company's working on currently)
Margaret Mead once said: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Beth,
Nice topic for the Blog Carnival. I'll have to put my thinking cap on. There is a lot the IAIDQ is planning to roll out through 2008 into 2009 that should/will/had better (delete as appropriate) 'change the world' for Info Quality/Data Quality practitioners. 2007 was a busy year and 2008 will be even more so I suspect.
