Ninety Days: yikes!

During chaotic times it's helpful to work for a good manager.

My boss, who definitely falls into that category, commented in my 90-day review today that I hadn't blogged since joining the company. He wasn't criticizing, just checking whether I had enough "creative juices" time, not wanting me to burn out.

To be honest, learning the new product line's internals took a bit longer than I expected, and of course there was the push to meet last month's product release date. Equally important, I spent some quality time golfing with my husband.... ;-)

Time to come back up for air.

From a theory/management perspective I have a few post ideas regarding data quality, data masking, and the life cycle of data. At a geek level, I've been working a LOT with SQL Server's Service Broker -- i.e. queuing/soa framework -- and will write up some of the more hard-won lessons. (Great technology, not the most intuitive to manage.)

Have a great week!
